Quick question - does everyone get finger print request or it is random? My current status says BG completed and also I cleared the knowledge test last week which is yet to be updated as complete.

It's random and you would've gotten the request for FP before b/g. I don't see them asking you anymore.

I guess my BG verification is stuck because I stayed outside Canada for more than 200 days in the last 3 years and I had to provide police ceritificates.

My passport expires end of month and I have to travel urgently and I cannot renew my passport at my home country as it would take more than 2 months to receive so I am thinking about submitting urgent processing request, but what concerns me is that if it gets refused, it delays my application..

I received the second email saying how yo check my application. Shall I use the same application number that my husband received in his AOR letter?

Yes you can create an account for tracker if it is not already created for ur PR application.

I submitted a paper-based application during the first week of January and have not received AOR until now. Despite several attempts to contact the IRRC office, I have not been unable to reach them.

I have also checked the online portal using my UCI number, but no information comes up which suggests that my information is not in their system.

I am concerned that my application package may be lost, or that they may have rejected the application and sent the package back to me, but I did not receive it. Are there any other January applicants who have not received their AOR yet? Any suggestions what wouldbe the next step?

It usually takes at least a couple of days to update.

I got a new update for Fingerprint results: Received at Apr 3 and Activity status updated: Background verification at Apr 4
My tracker page shows that Updated: April 6, 2023.
Is my last update date for the Background verification? or it's ghost update?

How long it took to update on tracker? When did you gave your FP?

Can I know the process for submitting biometrics/FP?

Just go to any accredited FP agency near your area. The instructions will be given in the request letter you receive. ITs just a 15 min process, your docs will be checked PR card and any other phot ID (like driving license). Your details will be entered in the system and FP taken. You will get a receipt and that is pretty much it. The FP are sent electronically to RCMP, they do a check and the results are sent back to the office that requested the FP.

when did you complete the test? I did it on last Sunday 4/9 and I have the same status like yours in the tracker.
