For EE, what is your eligibility score and CRS score? Are you eligible? Your points most likely will not be high enough. You can look at BC PNP programs to see if you are eligible based on a permanent job offer. Your employer will have to show that they couldn’t hire anyone in Canada.

Just to add that your 19 year old would be attending post secondary. She needs admission to a college/university and then needs to show funds as an international student, ties to home country, travel history, career/education progression. So will need to pay first year tuition and show a minimum of $10k.

I need help about express entry program. I have been in Vancouver for about 1 year - and I am getting a CRS score of 460, which I believe isn't enough to qualify.

What are the options I have? Is CEC cut-off usually less than normal one? Do I need to apply separately for that? There is too much information available online and I am not able to find our exactly what is the best way for me to get PR.

Only option is BC PNP. Research and see if eligible. Express Entry includes CEC so you would need only a CEC draw but don’t count on it. Also you say in a post above that you landed in July 2022 but then you say you have a year of Canadian experience.

How did you get a CRS of 460 at your age? Are you here on an LMIA which would imply you have a valid job offer????? Your score seems too high for your age so I'm concerned that you made a calculation error regardless.

Not for BC, BC requires a job offer. You need to research what PNP programs you are eligible for based on your CRS score, job offer, NOC, family living in that province, French etc. What is your eligibility score and how did you get 460?

Why would your employer not support PNP? What bullshit is this? Do they want to keep you or not?

In most cases, for people in your circumstances, you need your employer to support your BC PNP application in order to get the required docs for PR.

Think OP is on ICT and the company is a large multi national. Bet they could hire people within Canada so company may not be willing to go through process. Plus they have to show recruitment process and unable to fill position. OP says he is an entry level management, so doesn’t seem like a specialized role.

I got 460 based on my education, Canadian work experience, CELPIP and TCF-Canada scores.

You are exactly to the point. Due to this reason, most IT multi-nationals have a policy of not only not sponsoring PNP but also not giving offer letter showing employment for next 1 year.

What is your NOC? EE is not an option at this time. You need a job offer in another province. And most likely a LMIA too if you want to work.

I am a permanent job in Vancouver. The secondment letter which was issued for applying for Work Permit says it's valid for 1095 days (it was issued on 21st Nov, 2021).

It would be difficult for me to get a good job at the moment due to market conditions - and considering that I am on an employer-specific work permit, it will have other challenges too.

At the moment, the only recourse I can think of is to wait another 2-3 years - so that either my score increases to due more Canadian experience or a CEC only draw is held.

If you REALLY have 460, I think you might be lucky to be honest. EE draw scores are coming down very fast. So if they keep inviting 7,000-10,000 people per draw, I can see the pool rapidly diminishing into the 450-470 range in the near future. Your problem then will be providing a work experience letter upon getting an invite if I interpreted correctly that your employer doesn't want to give any letter. I have a feeling you may be lucky, you're only 21 points away.

Assuming you are not counting 50 points for job offer. You may be fortunate and scores come down. Dont think there will be CEC only draws.
