Hi. I often see people talking about the F12 trick on this forum. Could someone advise what it means? What it used for? Thank you.
you are lucky mascot for me .. just now i see my parents got PPR it looks, mail sent to GCkey account on Feb23rd. i have received two documents, one is single page one pre arrival and other one in PPR 5 pages document starting with below. Please anyone confirm if it is a PPR?I received an email that I have a message under GCKEY account there and then there it was a one page PDF that said that you should be ready for life and job and home and those kind of stuff but nothing rather that that, so basically nothing very special there in my idea rather than then after that you just every minutes wait for PPR.
you are right. i have also received letter yesterday only for principal applicant from Mississauga officeExactly. Seems it depends on processing office, mine was Mississauga and we got only one letter with principal applicants name on it.
But letter clearly mentioned to submit passports and photos of any accompanying members i.e. dependents as well.
We used that letter to get passports stamped for both applicant and dependent.
@canada.msnThis is on service ontario website.
There is no waiting period for OHIP.
You do not need to wait to be physically present for the days above before applying.
You can apply for coverage as soon as you arrive in Ontario.
And for my inlaws we did not need wait. They applied last month and coverage start on the same day.
1. wait times for landing depend on who else is landing at the same time. They can apply for SIN# at the airport during certain hours.Hi folks,
Sorry if someone already posted this or answered this previously.
1. My parents would be travelling to Canada in April and was wondering what to expect at the Airport upon landing?
2. Do they need to disclose their assets/properties in home country?
3. When would their Health coverage start in Canada? After 3 months from landing? Any recommendations on health Insurance to buy for that interim 3 months period?
Would welcome any other tips you may share.
Thanks ahead.
Can u please share timeline ?Hi All
Got request for passport submission yesterday. Had applied in Sep-2021
As per the letter , its mentioned that my parents need to enter Canada 1yr after medicals which is Aug-2023
Is there any way i can push this? They cannot come this year due to a personal situation back home and makes no sense spending 5k on a ticket for a week.
Alternatively, can my mom just land and complete the PR formalities? The principal applicant is my dad.
Or worst case, if they don't land, can i send a request to IRCC to do another medical and they can travel next year maybe?
I dont know timeline. Just know i applied in Oct-2021Can u please share timeline ?
Since your dad is the PA, he has to land along with your mum. I understand that it may not be convenient for them to land at this time financially or otherwise. I think asking IRCC for extension or updated medical may make things even more complicated after all the long wait. If I were in your shoes I would arrange them to land and activate the PR and then return whenever they are ready.Hi All

This is interesting. I thougth medical travel insurance is required only for visitors, super visa and work permits. Didn't know it could be required for PR landing. Didn't find it under list of mandatory docs for landing. Also, how can we know that 3 month wait period has been reinstated .@canada.msn
Waiving of the 3 month wait period actually was due to Covid. We have seen the government roll back other Covid health policies like free access to treatment without ohip so I assume the 3 month wait period will be reinstated very soon even maybe April 1st. Anyone landing should look before arriving because they’ll need to purchase travel medical insurance before arriving in Canada. Most companies do not allow you to purchase once you arrive. The 3 month wait period is in place so people don’t come back to Canada solely to use healthcare.
My parents are already in Canada, my father received Medical Surveillance Letter, do you know how to get the Form ?Please for people that have medical surveillance from and landed in Ontario? How long did it take for Public health to contact them for test? Can one call public health in advance to arrange for date before they land? The person would be going to another province to see another family member about 35 days after landing. I want to be sure that all tests can be done within this timeframe. Thanks
Hello I want to know 1 year validity of medical starts when parents did their medical or the day medical passed in gckey account. My parents medical passed on 6 June 2022. Revived pre arrival on 7 Feb 2023 . Waiting for Passport request ?Hi All

Not required but a very good idea and recommended by government. Look at the OHIP website to see if 3 month wait period has returnedThis is interesting.
