My application just got returned because i selected yes to "Would you like to name a representative".
Do I need to fill in a new application form or should I just replace that page. If i replace only the page, what happens to the barcoded section (last set of pages)

Update the application and do not select
“Would you like to name a representative"
revalidate the barcode and print the application form again

Visitor: 2019 may(The day your spouse arrived) to 2019 December (end date should be 1 days before the TRV date)
Temporary worker: 2019 December to 2020 July (end date should be 1 days before the PR date)
Additional question to this.
On time spent outside canada for application for citizenship,

my spouse was away for one month outside canada to X country.
In that 30 days, she also travelled to Y country for 2 days.

so on form, should it be just 30 days to X country

OR
28 days to X country
2 days to Y country?

thanks in advance

Question 15.
Language requirement

  1. All applicants 18-54 years of age must submit proof that demonstrates adequate knowledge of English or French (even if your first language is English or French). If you are younger than 18 or 55 and older, you are not required to provide language evidence

If you are 18-54 years of age and unable to demonstrate that you have the necessary English or French language ability due to a medical condition, this requirement may be waived. You must submit supporting evidence with your application. See Step 3 in this instruction guide.

Canadian Language Benchmark/Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens level 4 is considered “Basic Proficiency” and means an individual can:
    • take part in short, everyday conversations about common topics
    • understand simple instructions, questions and directions
    • use basic grammar, including simple structures and tenses and show that you know enough common words and phrases to answer questions and express yourself

  2. If you do not have proof of language proficiency or the language level needed, you can take a government-funded language program to help you improve your language skills to get a certificate at a level of CLB/NCLC 4.

Examples of the types of language evidence that can be submitted include:
    1. You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad, including:
      1. A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program showing you studied in English or French, in Canada or abroad.
      2. If the original document is in a different language, include:
        • a letter from the school showing that the language of instruction was in English or French along with (including an official translation of the original document, if needed)
        • the address and contact information (phone number) of the education institution
    2. Results from a third-party language test

note: If you did the test in the past for immigration or citizenship purposes, we will accept the results even if it has expired.
      1. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program General Test (CELPIP-G) or the CELPIP-General LS (listening and speaking).
        • If you took the test after April 1, 2014, you must have a score of level 4 or higher in listening and speaking.
        • If you took the test before April 1, 2014, you must have a score of 2H or higher (i.e., 3L, 3H, 4L, 4H, 5L, or 5H) in listening and speaking.
      2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS), General Training. You must have a score of:
        • 4.0 or higher in speaking and
        • 4.5 or higher in listening. (Note: If the test was done before November 28, 2008, we will accept a level 4 or higher)
      3. Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF), Test d’Évaluation du Français adapté au Québec (TEFAQ) or TEF pour la naturalisation.
        • If you took the test afterJuly 1, 2012:
          • Niveau B1 or higher, (i.e. B2, C1 or C2) in Compréhension de l’oral and Expression orale
        • If you took the test beforeJuly 1, 2012:
          • Niveau 3 or higher in Compréhension de l’oral and Expression orale.
        • If you took the Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF) before July 1, 2012, you need a level 3 for expression orale only. This applies only to the TEF and not the TEFAQ or TEF pour la naturalisation.
      4. We will accept the following proof if you have submitted them in the past for immigration purposes to Quebec (note: these tests align with the échelle québécoise and not officially with CLB/NCLC 4):
        • Diplôme approfondi de langue française (DALF) – All test results

Hi all.

I am waiting to see when they ask me for the exam. However I might not be available when they ask. So, do they give us one day or give us a time period where we can select a day? What is the process for the test?
Any info is appreciated.

You get a window of 21 days within which you can attempt this test

Once you are ready to take the test, please click (or copy in your Chrome or Safari browser) the following link, and follow the instructions to begin the sign in process:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/citizenship-test/online.html

  • You’ll have 30 minutes to complete the test; you won’t be able to stop or pause it.
  • There are 20 multiple choice questions.
  • The test can be answered in either English or French.
  • The 30-minute timer will continue if you are disconnected.
  • You can reconnect at any time within the 30 minutes.
  • If you don’t manually submit, the test will automatically submit after 30 minutes has ended.
  • You must be visible at all times in front of your webcam while completing the test.
  • You are not permitted to open any other tabs or applications.
  • You need to get 15 correct answers to pass the test.
  • Your test result will be automatically generated when the online test is submitted. This score will be temporary and not your official test result. In the upcoming months, we will review and confirm your official test result and contact you with the next steps. You will be asked to accept disclaimers, terms and conditions during the sign-in process. You will also be asked to agree to have your webcam take pictures of you during the test.
Note:
  • You must ensure your internet connection is stable for the duration of the test. In case you have been disconnected, you can use the same link to continue your test. The time, however, will continue counting down.
  • f technical issues arise during the test, your test results may be invalidated. We will contact you for next steps as soon as possible. An interview with a Citizenship officer and a retake of the test via videoconference may be necessary

Hi Guys,

We are a family of four - my spouse, two kids under 18 and myself. Now it's time to apply for citizenship. As per my understanding we can't apply online if we are getting citizenship all together. Here is the question: Can I apply online for my wife and myself, process everything, get the citizenship and then apply for kids on paper? I hate filling the forms and online seems to be so much easier ))

As a family you cannot (yet) apply online
Either one of the parents can apply online and the other parent can apply with the kids on paper can be another way

Your suggestion will drag applications your kids. Imagine you and your wife apply and receive citizenship after a year and then later your apply for your kids which may take some time to process as well. Are all these efforts worth the pain as against filling bunch of forms, printing them and sending it by courier/post etc ?

My recommendation is that you all apply as a family on paper

Valid point, thank you. Given how much extended in time the whole process is, I agree I have to go through this paper forms pain ))). I wonder if there is any info on when the Online format will be available for groups with minors?
