I wish my invitation was in-person, but my office is probably London now, not Kitchener... We'll see.Sorry my file is transferred from Mississauga to Kitchener, where I moved for an in-person ceremony.
Nope, Zoom...I wish my invitation was in-person, but my office is probably London now, not Kitchener... We'll see.
Yeah, in recent months, lots of people have reported being unable to log into their tracker after they were scheduled for oathIs it "normal" that after I received an email with invitation, I cannot log into my tracker? Stuck on "Loading" screen. Works just fine for my wife.
Phew... Thanks!Yeah, in recent months, lots of people have reported being unable to log into their tracker after they were scheduled for oath
Not sure if it'll work for you, but there's a bunch of virtual address services that offer mail forwarding globally. That's at least what I'd do.ah, was just coming in here to ask about the tracker being down, and looks like that's happening for others.
Here with a question though about applicants who are currently out of Canada:
When I got my invitation to do Oath, I was living outside of Canada due to family and work things. I travelled back to Canada to take the oath, but in my ceremony, they refused to send my certificate to a US address. Everything I had read online and heard via legal counsel was that sending certificate to US was fine. But in my case, it was a no go. It all eventually worked out (long story).
Asking, as we have multiple applications from our family but sent in individually, and now another one is up for oath. That applicant is presently outside of Canada, will travel back to Canada for Oath (virtual ceremony), but we're worried about the mailing address as this applicant will have to return to US before the certificate is mailed.
Anyone have any insight on this? I assume its just one of those, depends on the office and the person administering ceremony....
Can you just give them any address in Canada? I'd use a virtual one - unless they require ID and signature confirmation..?I got excited reading about the e-certificate thing! but yes, its only by invitation and pilot project for pre Jan 2023 applicants. We also thought about requesting an in person, so certificate would be issued on the spot, but that also seems like it opens up complications and unknown delays.
Congrats!!! Glad you finally got it. Yeah, there are always some people in each oath ceremony who don't know how to mute their microphones.Today, finally, was my Oath Ceremony. Although it was not in person and missed the dignified atmosphere (some people really have no regard for the moment or other attendees), it still was a remarkable and truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you All for your support, good words of advice and keeping up good spirits. To those still waiting: don't give up and stay on course. Peace out!
