Hi All,
I am a full time employee of a company.
I have been working in the company from 2021 October.
In this period i have visited India twice. First time i have stayed in india less than 3 months and second time I have stayed in India more than 3 months and i have been working throughout these times.

so if I apply for PR in CEC category, will these 6 months be included or will it not.

please let me know if you need any further details
Thanks in advance

They will not be included as Canadian work experience. You cannot count this time since you were outside of Canada. You can count this time as foreign work experience.

There is no clear guidelines on this, I think if you are working for a Canadian company and are authorised to work in Canada in that case even if you were outside Canada but we're paid for, then it has to be counted as Canadian experience

Hi scylla,
Thank you for the response.
May I know How sure are you about this ?
can you provide me any document that can verify this so that I can be sure about it please.
Because I couldn’t find any documentation that clear states the policies or rules on this. I’m a bit confused on the topic

I would advise please call to CIC customer service and confirm with them. Whatever they suggest please tell them to send detail in your email.

Lol why would scylla provide you documentation. Either you trust the advice or don't. If you want to try your luck then go ahead and let us know how it goes

Hi Impatient,
I’m asking for documentation meaning that if she has seen information regarding this topic anywhere so that I can go through that,
It’s not like I’m asking her to provide proof for her statement.
I’m asking for reference so that I can go through and understand it.

Even if you work for a Canadian employer and pay taxes, remotely working from outside Canada would not count towards CEC.

To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class, you must be physically present inside Canada and work under legal authorization. Check out all the eligibility requirements for the Canadian
