Spousal PR application inquiry

Hello all. I'd like to explain my current situation and seek some guidance here. Excuse if this is not the right thread.

I'm a Canadian PR, living in Canada and would like to apply for spousal PR for my wife. I got married last week in the US and my wife lives and studies in the US, who is an Indian citizen is about to graduate in May 2023.

She has a Canadian visitor visa but never visited here. Would it raise any concerns in our spousal PR application?

Probably not, providing that you have solid evidence of a genuine marriage. If you married shortly after meeting your wife, it could be questioned.

Hard to say. Do you have evidence of the relationship growing from day one, culminating in marriage after 90 days?

The proper question is to know how long you know your wife before the marriage. That will be a good indicator if the application is strong or not. That will be what makes the most impact on the chances of getting PR and a good time to evaluate this and assess the chances. if it is like less than 6 months between meeting, marrying and then applying, it is better to postpone so it is more than 1 year.

Having a visitor visa won't have an impact on the PR application because it is based on two different sets of requirements. I think it does help a bit because a bit of checking has been done already (like biometrics and background checks).

Oh, I missed that detail, sorry. In certain cultures, it is probably fine and I see the wife is from India where this kind of stuff is normal (arranged or short marriages are expected from them). If she is from another country, let's say Cuba, then it would be a big flashing red flag.

I would still suggest taking a bit of time and spending that time together given that she has a visitor visa already. Build more evidence of time spent together.

Yeah, that's right but I still believe building a bit more evidence would help substantiate the application. I'm trying to be in the position of the IRCC agent checking this and I would feel it might be quite short.

I am not 100% certain, but my view is no - certification is something needed to show a doc is a true copy of an official document (eg issued by a government authority or something of official character or issued under a govt authority [an example of this might be a vaccination record signed by a licensed medical professional]). For the whatsapp chat, the only certification is you saying it is a chat, and the signature on your application saying all stuff submitted is true.
