Immigration consultant fee?

Hi, can someone tell me is a 5500 CAD regular rate for an immigration consultant who will file an LMIA application on behalf of a company that is willing to hire me followed by a closed work permit for me and an open work permit for my spouse? I would like to know if someone has been through this with a consultant and how much were you charged.

You shouldn't be paying any fees for the LMIA to be filed. That is your employer's responsibility. It's actually illegal for your employer to make you pay for this.

Agree! Employer handles the LMIA. If you go for an immigration consultant, 5k is too much.
