What happens after Background check is completed? How long have people been waiting between oath and background check complete?

how long after your BG check completed till you got the test? Or was it other way around for you?

I received test invitation first, two days later my BG check got completed.
I took the test on 27th February 12:30 am ( 30 minutes after my time window started) then it was marked as completed today March 8th but in the online tracker it shows March 6th.

Background was completed as well! Shows as last updated march 8 as well? Is that another ghost update or is that for background complete?

@MTLresident weird how we presumably have different offices but got updated at the same time after such a long wait. Does your application have last updated with todays date as well? Also if you scroll down it’ll show you the day bg was completed. Mine shows the 6th.

Same for me. 4th March is background check

There will be a new legislation out in June which will allow applicants to take the oath themselves online (self administered). I wouldn’t worry about this at all. You’re almost done my friend.

It also says oath can be in or outside canada"
2 Sections 19 to 22 of the Regulations are replaced by the following:

19 (1) Subject to subsection 5(3) of the Act, a person who is at least 14 years of age on the day on which the person is granted citizenship under subsection 5(1), (2) or (4) or 11(1) of the Act shall, on the invitation of the Minister, take the oath of citizenship, whether in or outside of Canada,"

So from June 2023, can we take oath outside canada too?

Checked my application today and LPP completed on Mar 3rd it seems and oath on 15th. But I had to travel outside the country due to a family emergency. But things are moving now looks like.

By the way, does anyone have the email id to mail to for postponing oath handy? Would appreciate the help
