Does the status you have during the 3 out of 5 years you need taxes filed matter for Citizenship?

I'm currently working on my application for Citizenship and the taxes requirement is confusing me a little.

1. Do I need to have filed taxes only for the 3 out of 5 years, or do I also need to have received the NOAs? (I know they don't need to be attached to my application per the checklist.)
2. For the 3 years out of 5 that taxes are required to have been filed, do they all have to be under the same status, or is it okay if say 1-2 are under my previous status before PR (Work Permit)? Or would it be safer to make sure I have completed my 2022 taxes so I have 2020, 2021 & 2022 all under my PR status?

Thank you!

For your second question, it doesn't all have to be under the same status. You can use pre-PR time. However keep in mind that each pre-PR day only counts as 1/2 day towards RO and you can count a maximum of 2 year (so 1 year total for pre-PR). Two years must be post-PR.

Thank you! That part I was aware of. I did do my Physical Presence Calculation already (but will modify and update again before submitting.) I'm more curious if the taxes (3/5 years) all have to all be under one status. i.e. all under PR or 2 WP and 1 PR.

Edit: I reread your reply and I see what you mean. Definitely making sure I have 2 post-PR then. Thank you!
