So sorry to hear this. How many days are you short by? Such a shame that they need you to reapply.
I’m not short of any days presently, I made a mistake of putting the wrong date of when a positive decision was made on refugee claim was made, marking the time prior which was a month as claim ineligible for physical days. so I’m back to square one like I never started my application at all. And waiting….it’s the worst feeling ever

I had completed the test, and background
@2016panic - Just for the people in the forum. Can you please detail the communication that IRCC did with you? So, when was your BG and Test completed and when did IRCC let you know that you do not meet the physical presence requirement. Did they contact you via email or you had an interview with them? If you had an interview with them, can you please briefly summarize the interview? Thank you.

got an email with oath ceremony instructions (scheduled for 13th March). Question is do I need to know the National Anthem by heart or I can read it and sing it. Also for the oath, can I read it or I need to memorize it beforehand?

My application date was April 25, 2022
AOR: May 2
BG: completed Nov 21
Test window : dec 9-29, 2022
Test completed and status updated dec 12, 2022
Got an email from Scarb officer directly on the 23rd of February : with a letter as to why my application was being rejected.
she then called me and asked if I wanted to continue to be assessed by a judge or voluntarily withdraw.I immediately withdrew. She let me know I will have to start again. I was so dumbfounded I didn’t ask if I could immediately apply or wait.
now my status they have sent me a final letter.

Thanks @2016panic

As soon as the withdrawal is complete, you can complete a new application. Alternatively, you can complete a new application right away without withdrawal. The pain is wasted $630 and almost a year but now hopefully you can breeze through the steps as your BG (Security and Criminality) is already completed and valid for a year. Goodluck!

Congratulations on your oath invite, wish you all the best to come.
you don’t need to memorize the oath or national anthem. The citizenship judge will say the oath line by line and will wait for everyone in the session to repeat each sentence after him/her. As for the anthem; a video with the lyrics will be displayed so that you can sing as it plays.

Been 10 months and the only update on my application is that I finished the test in December. Should I be worried? Everything else is still in progress

Ceremony not started

Hi guys, Im just wondering how many days it takes after completing every task to be invited to ceremony. Also if all task (except ceremony) are green and completed it means there is no interview anymore?
Finally I received the oath email a few minutes ago. There is no update on my file yet. In my profile The last update is January 12 and ceremony is not started! However, The email I received says I am invited to a virtual ceremony March 20th. Does anyone know how long the virtual ceremony lasts and what would happen during that?!

You will have the details in the attachment that is in the "Notice to appear" email. In case there is no attachment, you can reply to that email or the one mentioned in the mail (something like cic-calgary-citizenship@cic.gc.ca), and they will send you the details.
The one I got says, the ceremony would be around 2h30min.
