What Happens to Bridge Open Work Permit Application If PR Application is Approved Before (i.e., (PR Portal (PR Confirmation) Mail is Received)

I have got my "PR Portal (PR Confirmation)" mail stating that my application for PR has been approved. However, my bridge open work permit (BOWP) application is still awaiting any decision. What will happen to my BOWP application now? -- Will it still be processed to come to a decision or not?

I am currently outside Canada about which I have informed IRCC in the reply to my "PR Portal (PR Confirmation)" mail. I have a valid V-1 visitor visa and I hope to get my BOWP in hand before I travel back to Canada, to avoid any issues. Having said that, is it advisable to come back to Canada with just my travel visa and no work permit? In this case, what other documents would I be needing?

Note application approval is not a PR status. You would need to enter Canada, submit you photo and address and then once you get your eCOPR all other immigration documents from canada becomes null and void. Till you get your eCOPR you will need a Visa to enter canada and any WP to continue working

Thanks for replying! Yes, PR application approval does not mean I am a PR.

Will my bridge open work permit application be automatically cancelled, now that my PR application has been approved? Any idea?

No you BOWP is not cancelled till your eCoPR is generated.

Yes, that's right! Any immigration documents received prior to getting eCoPR becomes null and void once eCoPR is received.

My question was a bit different. Let me rephrase it and is given below.
Will my BOWP application (submitted 2 days after submitting my PR application) be not processed, now that my PR application is approved? Any idea?
I think that BOWP application will, still, be processed and a decision will be made.

IRCC has UCI e.g. I had a UCI for a Tourist Visa in 2015 and 2014 which was carried on for the WP application in 2021 and now for the PR. If the systems are link you need not worry about what going to happen. IRCC should ideally cancel the BOWP application. Since it will check that your UCI is now a PR status. But I am not sure what is the procedure

Hi. Hello. May I know what you did regarding your work permit application after getting your eCOPR? Did you submit a webform to withdraw it and get a refund?
