I just checked my online tracker and it had two updates one about receiving my fingerprints and the other saying background verification status is completed.

I only knew cause i loged in to my account but i didnot receive any notification on my email! is that normal? are we supposed to get notification that our account was updated ?

but when you had received FP request , did it reflected on that day on your tracker - Is it the first time you are looking it on tracker ?

No you don't get any email notifications. Only time you will be notified is when they send you an email asking something

then what is this ghost update that some people are talking about?

Ghost updates are those when either the officer opened your file or make changes on it that will reflect on your tracker once the system push the updates or could be simply a system update.

BG completed on January 6th. Still waiting for Test invite...

I was about to make a post saying how I got BG completed Jan 31st and im surprised im still waiting but after seeing this I guess tons of people are.

decision made to oath invite 9 days
