Canadian passport application abroad - ID requirement

Hi everyone,

I just finished my oath in Toronto and left Canada, waiting for the citizenship certs.

But I just find out all my Ontario ID are expired. Health card, Driver license...

Do you know how can I apply the passport?

I just checked the passport application page. Documents to support your identity for a new adult passport application - Canada.ca

Here's the document list.

• Canadian passport
• driver’s licence issued by a province or territory, or the equivalent abroad
• health card issued by a province or territory, or the equivalent abroad
• Certificate of Indian Status
• military ID
• foreign passport
• non-driver’s licence issued by a province or territory, or the equivalent abroad
• ID card issued by the federal government, or a provincial or territorial government, or the equivalent abroad
• employee identification issued by the federal government, or a provincial or territorial government, or the equivalent abroad

Can i use the foreign passport & foreign dirver's license? and apply in a Canadian consulate?

If not, i have to smuggle into Canada? to renew my health card? OMG

Any documents that meet the following requirements are okay:

Requirements for your identification document (ID)
Your ID must

• include your
  • name
  • date of birth
  • photo and
  • signature
• be issued by a federal, provincial, territorial or state government authority, or the equivalent abroad

If your ID doesn’t have all the required information
You may show more than 1 ID if all of the required information isn’t on the same one. There must be 1 common element, such as your name, to link all your IDs. This is so we can be sure they all belong to you.

From the list, they will accept foreign passports and ID cards issued by the government - driver's license. You should be good
