Naturalized Canadian Applying for US Green Card

Hello everyone,

Question-1:
I am a naturalized Canadian and my brother is US citizen. He wants apply for my green card under family quota. Can anyone tell me how long will it take to get it completed?

Question-2:
I have a friend who became Canadian in 2022 and his brother applied for his green card in 2021 who is a US citizen. In this case, can he speed up the process in any way? Does he have to update his existing green card application?

1) Probably a better question for a US immigration forum. I think wait times are in the range of 15-20 years for sibling sponsorship.
2) I don't know.

There’s a US immigration section on Reddit.
But as mentioned it’s YEARS.
And I believe those visa allocations are done by country of birth , not by citizenship held .
So holding Canadian citizenship won’t speed up the process
