Hi all,
Looking for some guidance.
I am currently in the EE pool and my current work permit will be expiring in 20-25 days.
15 days back, I have already applied for my work permit extension (under the public policy) which I know it's going to be refused.
I am expecting an ITA in the next two draws and if I receive it, can I apply for BOWP? If yes, should I wait for AOR and then apply for it? Because I want to apply for BOWP before my current work permit expires.
Or should I inform IRCC via a webform and provide them AOR to update it in my current work permit extension so that they can give me BWOP?

Thank you in advance.

I don't think IRCC can tie the AOR to your current WP extension so that it becomes BOWP, you need to apply it online as per below.

To be eligible of BOWP, there are some restrictions. see below

Thank you for your revert.
It's going to be refused because I applied it to buy time only.
The public policy was till Dec 31, 2022 and thus, I know, they will refuse the application.
Then, I will apply for BOWP after receiving ITA. Do you think I should wait for AOR or submit the application without it?

I would say wait for AOR but why don't you file for work permit renewal normally. You will be in the implied status which is better

I have already applied for the work permit extension (which I mentioned, under public policy) and when my current post graduate work permit expires (in 20-25 days), I will be on the implied status.
Since, IRCC does not extend PGWP, I will be receiving the rejection on the work permit extension that I have already applied.
This is the reason I want to apply for BOWP so that I will receive the approval on that.
