Work Permit on the base of Work permit support letter.

Hi I am hoping to apply a work permit or extending my PGWP using work permit support letter.

According to the BC PNP post-nomination guide, one of the requirements for WPSL is:
you submitted an application for permanent residence to IRCC as a BC PNP nominee before your nomination expiry date

And the guide says it is a "proof of permanent residence application submission to IRCC (i.e. verification that you have submitted your application for permanent residence to IRCC before the nomination expiry date, such as the first page of the IRCC application for permanent residence including the date stamp)" and "confirmation you applied for permanent residence to IRCC".

Does this mean I need an AOR to request WPSL? Or is it something I can get even before AOR?

Also, I am searching for a guide page for applying for work permit with WPSL from IRCC website but have not been able to find one.
Can anyone give me a brief overview how this works (how to apply / extend WP using WPSL and the document checklists, especially how to provide the confirmation that I submitted the PR application)?

No, you don't need an AOR. You simply need the confirmation email that your application was submitted, the fee receipt as proof you paid for your PR application or if you sent it by paper, the tracking slip. It is unreasonable that they make you wait for AOR, because in some cases AORs take 18+ months.
