When can we update our profile for CEC?

I have already qualified for FSW. I heard that 3 months before you have 1-year of work in Canada, you may put in your profile that you have 1 year of canadian work experience (although you can only apply after receiving the ITA when you actually have 1 year of experience).

However, I have updated my profile to mention that I have now 1 year of canadian experience but my profile hasn't changed to reflect that. It still says that I don't qualify for CEC and I haven't gotten the points either.

Did I misunderstand and you can't actually update your profile before actually having 1 year of experience?

You need a year of Canadian experience for the points to be recognized. If you apply a month before the 12 months then the system may recognize it.
