My study permit expired on Nov 30, 2022, and I applied for an extension on Nov 30 night, but on the payment page, I had a connection interruption and the submission was delayed and was submitted by Dec 01 at 1 am (delayed by one hour). Initially, I couldn't see my application in the list of applications filed, but it got updated within an hour and I could see my application. I received the application submission confirmation mail from IRCC and in the mail, it is said that the application was received on Dec 01, 2022. Last time, when I applied for an extension I did it on the day of expiry i.e. March 30, 2022, and in the submission confirmation mail it is said that the application was received on March 31, 2022. I thought it was the same case this time and I continued studying after applying. My course was completed on Dec 16, 2022, and I'm about to receive a course completion letter on 16th Jan 2023. At this point, I'm so confused about the steps to be taken to apply for my PGWP, as I'm worried about studying for two weeks after the expiry of the permit.

Has your extension been approved now? what was your timeline?

If I were you, I'd also make an application for the restoration of status, pay the fees, and update this to IRCC via a web form, just in case there was any confusion from the visa officer. I read about a case on this forum where a student applied for an extension a couple of weeks before the initial study permit expiration date but was refused, stating he applied after the expiration of his initial study permit.
