Just got the notification that my son and I cards are on their way

Waiting time for initial PR CARD where pics resubmitted -seems Around 4 months from envelope opening

I am in the same boat guys - This sucks I hope they start opening oct soon. Like I have been waiting since May 9th. This whole Canada PR processing and the PR card took 3 years of my time - oof!
- Landed on May 9th
- Photo request June 30th - photo submission July 4th
- Request for photos again Oct 14th - photos resubmitted and reached the office Oct 18th

Paper application reached IRCC Sydney - Oct 03 2022
Paper application returned saying "photo missing" - Nov 24 2022 , received the returned documents in hand on Dec 5 2022.
Took new photos, Signed the application with Dec 6 2022 date and sent it back to IRCC.
IRCC received new photos and documents on Dec 9 2022
AOR received on Dec 28 2022
Application approved on Dec 29 2022
PR Card Mailed Status on Dec 30 2022
PR Card received at Ontario by mail on Jan 05 2022

Hi BPK, i did my landing on 15th nov at toronto pearson airport. The officer never told anything regarding paper or online application.
They just took the address for the pr card to mailed at. Thats it.
On dec 23 I received request to re-submit photos. Which i did the very next day and the Nova scotia office received them on 30th dec. Since then i havent heard anything.
I did sucessfully link my application to cic profile thereafter and the status says “submitted”
My concern: did i/am i missing anything? Was i suppose to apply somewhere cuz i wasnt told any such thing.

Hello, as far as I understand, you haven't missed anything. since you are able to link the application, you can now wait for the status change. sometimes you may get an email about status change or you can simply check by logging in.

Am not able to link my Current Account (which i applied for PR) to the PR card application .

Could you please tell how to link the application . Any Link could you share .

Log in to your cic portal. Over there you’ll see “add an application”
Click on that and punch in your credentials (uci, application number, etc) and then click “find application”
After your application is located, you can link it to your existing cic profile. Hope this helps.
note: if it asks for your place of birth, write the EXACT way it is written on your PASSPORT; do not miss a single punctuation mark.

I called they refuse to give dates anymore. I am contacting my MP and encourage others to do that as well. I think they are holding these applications as they are underpressure to reduce the backlog on main applications. Something is going on.
