Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Got my renewed passport from BLS Brampton. Here is my timeline. (No Police verification happened in India). Went to BLS in person (appointment booked upfront).
Note: BLS India will take your existing Indian passport when you apply for a new one.
Both the old passport and new passport will be dispatched together later.
So, make sure you do not have any travel pans lined up until you get both the passports back.

In the inspect mode, I saw this line of code "STATUS_DESC":"Application Granted on No verification basis" and my passport is printed and delivered to HCI Ottawa on 29-12 (I saw the tracking ID in the inspect mode). Does that mean that my new passport is granted and good to go without police verification? Like post #2179
Hi veerG, could you do me a small favor and check the inspect mode on the passport application page and let me know what the police verification message says?
For inspect mode, please follow these steps:
1. Go to https://portal4.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html
2. Right click on the page and click on "inspect" from the menu
3. There will be browser related developer tools which will open. Adjust the height of developer tools (bottom half and the overall length) so that you will be able to click on "Track Status" dialog on passport portal.
4. Click on the "Track Status" dialog on passport portal and fill out the information regarding your application and click "Track Application" status button
5. Now in the browser developer tools you can see "network tab" which is 4th option. click on it . See here:- https://ibb.co/ZxHN501
6. Now you can see a service call that is made with name "trackStatusForFileNoNew". Click on it and this service returns a response which contains all the status updates on your application See here:- https://ibb.co/TPmy9hg
7. If you scroll through the service "response" you will be able to see statusMap -> StatusId object when you click on it it will again return a list of all updates on your application and who performed that action and on what date it is updated.
Can you please tell me what thepolice verification says? Alternatively, if you FIND by using "control or cmd+F", can you find this string :--- "STATUS_DESC":"Application Granted on No verification basis"

I shall update as soon as I have an update. Nothing to report today too.But to also mention:- when I was in the inspect mode, I found a "tracking number" and I tracked that my passport was delivered to the HCI Ottawa on 29-12. So I am waiting for it to be shipped to bls montreal now.
Nope. same status.
But in Inspect mode, I can see it has been delivered to Ottawa on 27/12. Even I can see my passport number as well.
Not sure why HCI is not giving it back to BLS.
