Thanks so much, I appreciate your help. Just as the last few questions:

1) For passports, should we only upload the previous passports within 5 years, or even before that should I also be uploaded?

2) Should I also upload my study/work permits?

3) For the question of when you had other citizenship (original country), what should we put as the start and end date?

4) For the question of where you lived in Canada, what should we put as the date of "to"? Will it be the date of submission?

5)When it says, enter the info of your residence/ work since the last five years, can I add more than that starting 10 years or I should not?

Thank you so much for your your patience in sharing your experiences and all your help, I wish you a wonderful new year
  1. I have no idea what you are asking here, all depends on what the question asks you, I do not remember the question so if you can post the question I am happy to help.
  2. does it ask you for these? i do not remember providing these, i have no idea where my work or study permits are lol so i know for a fact that they nver asked me this unless i am crazy and n i did.
  3. if you are still a citizen there is no end date so just leave it blank or put Not applicable
  4. There is a thing that says This is my current address which the system will auto-fill once you click that button.
  5. just do what they ask for.

Hi Group ! Question on proof of language. Can I use my Secondary School Certificate from Pakistan issued in English as proof of English? I don't have the certificate from school saying they taught in English but I can get one (Just trying to save the effort).

Any advice will be appreciated.
I don’t think that it will work!
You can alternatively submit ielts that you would have used for pR application

Thanks so much for your asvice. For the question of "Did you have any citizenship or immigratiin status other than Canada?", I had a visitor visa to Abue Zabi, but not sure when they issued the visa and expiry date of visa. The visa was not attached to my passport but I went there. What should I do, do you have any advice?

I also got a student visa to Sweden while ago but never went there or lived there. Should I include this also?

Thanks so much again for all your help

.

Hello,

I have some questions in the citizenship application form CIT 0002 E

Please help.

  • Q 11 - How to answer section 11 if I was working multiple jobs during same time. I mean overlapping.
I was doing two jobs (One full -time and One part-time)
    From To
    2017-08 to Present Work 1 (full-time)
    2017-05 to 2019 -10 Work 2 (part-time)
    2017 -01 to 2017-05 Unemployed
Do the VO think that I have a gap of 3 months from 2017 -05 to 2017-08.

  • Q 13 – Should we list Student / Employment / Tourist. Confused as all these are not immigrant visas.

  • Q 15 a – Is old IELTS photo copy (dated 2013, used when applying PR) is enough for proof. Or Do I need to write IELTS.

  • Q 17 c – Yes/ No , If I am not a Quebec resident.

  • All places- Do we need to write N/A, if we have nothing to write or leave it blank.
    • Like in Q 4b,
    • Q 7b (if mailing address is same as home address)
    • Q 10 b (country /territory)
    • Q 14a (In table B)
    • Q 16 b
Please answer these questions. I will be very thankful.
  • Q 13 – Should we list Student / Employment / Tourist visa in Q13? Confused as all these are immigrant visas?

Yes there is a question
Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?
Ensure to enter all your passports, or work permits or study permits in different countries. weather or not u have ever been to these countries.

i personally have no idea what you should do if you do not remember stuff if you forgets exp dates of the Visa and such, i am not sure how to get that detail i have never been to any other country other than my own and canada and i only have a US visa so that was easy for me.

Good luck

Yes you should, so all immigration status and if you have citizenship anywhere else as well
Thanks so much for your help. Just to confirm

1- for Q 14, "Tell us if you have held passports or travel documents during your five (5) year eligibility period."__ I have three passports which goes back to 15 years. Then, should I include all or just last 5 years?

2- For calculating days_ the guideline says :"we encourage to apply with more than 1,095 days of living in Canada". How many more days should I apply?

3-For photo, what does it mean to include receipt? The receipt is just the credit card receipt. Can you please advise?

Thank you very much for your help.

Five years is all they need, but it doesn't hurt to put them all if you want. The application is clear that you need to provide the eligibility period for the last 5 years.

LOL, it's an encouragement, not a requirement. You can do whatever you want. I was going to apply on the same day I became eligible, but it was a holiday so I couldn't take my picture. I did it a few days later.

Yes

Thank you so much. I also appreciate if you can clarify about SIN number. I was a student and then after getting PR, my SIN number changed. So, what SIN number should I report? Should I also give them my previous SIN number?

Also, will they notify us by email about the exam date or will they mail us the date? Will the exam be online or in person?

Thanks so much, and hope you have a great holiday!

Your new SiN connects to your Old SIN, going forward you only use your new SIN for everything, CRA knows its you.

The test will be whatever it is Online or In person, i have no idea IRCC may get back to in person or offer people the choice of either or, if you give them an EMAIL the test invite will be Via Email

Hello everyone,

Date of becoming PR is from the date that is posted as "PR Since" on the back of our PR card, right?

Hi all,

For taxes, should I also wait to file the tax of 2022, or can I submit my application? It is very confusing , would you please advise?

I also visited Turkey, as you know it doesn't need visa. So, I think there is no immigration status for me as a visitor to report. Is that right?

Thanks so much for your help and comments.

No you won't need to wait until filing tax for 2022. if you qualify to apply for citizenship in January they understand that taxing can not be filed until mid to late february so they don't expect us to wait until we file taxes. I also went to turkey without a visa, and I haven't started my application yet but I think it doesn't count as a immigration status in turkey so I will probably not worry about that trip
