You applied right before the holidays and things basically shut down for over a week. Processing can take multiple months.

Yep I applied before the holidays. But I have seen people getting theirs. Processing from Pakistan is another issue. Just wanted to know other people timelines as well. Cause lots are from October November or before that.

It is very case dependent. If a person has a strong travel history and has travelled to Canada before they can be approved in a week or two. If not it will likely be around 3 months. It is very case dependent.

Yes I know. I applied for my spouse. Me, I am a USC. Also, not so many cases like mine but still. And yes every case is different.

Unless your spouse is a US citizen she is considered like any other Pakistani citizen. The fact that her spouse is a U.S. citizen likely increases her chances of approval.

Yes I have been through this and I know she will be considered like any other Pakistani. But this is a relief to hear this from someone that chances are good.

But again, nothing can be said for sure.

I accidentally travelled to Pakistan in Dec 2022 with a valid work permit but an expired TRV. My PR application is very close to approval. I applied for my TRV renewal from Pakistan, not sure what to expect. I really need to be back in Canada as I have a fulltime job.

What do you mean “accidentally” travelled to Pakistan? There is not such thing as TRV renewal. You applied for a new TRV. So check processing times because you cannot expedite the process.

Yeah you are right! I never realized my TRV had expired and travelled back home.
