Is it beneficial to knowing the processing office on your application? Can you find out by phoning up?

No benefit to knowing, because even if you contact that office they will send a general reply

" Our records show your application is being processed and based on the current processing time on the IRCC website the processing time is X date"

They will not give you additional info or guidance so to be honest it has no benefits what so ever

Not beneficial, you'll know anyways based on the office that sends a test invitation. Yes you can phone and ask but still no benefits as they'll still give same answers as the phone

Depends on what you consider "beneficial"

Many people complete the whole process without worrying about their processing office. While others use the processing office to gauge the processing speed. For example, for a long while, the Niagara office was very fast, and then IRCC started sending applications from other centres to it as a part of its load distribution strategy and now it's not as fast as before. In summary, it all depends on context.
