Hello friends.
My wife and I also applied for TRV for tourism reasons on 05 Dec. My wife got BVL and Refusal on 12 Dec. Refusal reasons Financial and asset situation is insufficient, and the Purpose of the visit to Canada is not consistent........ On the other hand, I got BVL on the same day, but the Final correspondence still not receive yet. We both are CAN+ applicants. My wife is Homemaker, and the cost will be bear by me. I have attached my sponsorship letter from me and my bank statement to my wife's application.

What do you mean that you are CAN+ applicants? You don’t decide or choose to be. IRCC decides if you will be processed as CAN+. You don’t sponsor your spouse so not sure what sponsorship letter she would need. Her application can be refused. What was purpose of the visit? How long? How much in funds? She alone needs to show her own travel history, ties to home country and valid reasons to visit.

We have valid USA nonimmigrant visas. That's why I mentioned the CAN+ application. If anyone Visited Canada in the last 10yrs or Holding a USA nonimmigrant visa, then the application is called a CAN+ application, as I know. Our application is a group application and I am the main applicant. My wife is Homemaker, and she is dependent. That's why the application mentioned that my husband would bear the cost of the trip. Even in the CAN+ application, IRCC doesn't ask for financial proof. Still, I uploaded all the financial documents and assets documents, and business documents in my application. In my wife's application, I uploaded a sponsor letter mentioning that I would support her financially for the trip. Our application is for tourism; the itinerary is for 15 days, and in my saving account, I showed $30500 CAD and fixed deposits of $175000 CAD.

You applied for a TRV. Only IRCC decides if you are CAN+. So you applied together (just the two of you) and she was refused with reasons of funds and purpose. Order GCMS notes. Purpose can mean anything. 1. Ties: What are her ties to home country if she is a homemaker? Do you live in country of citizenship? 2. Travel History - She has US visa. Has she ever overstayed? 3. Why are your visiting? For how long?

There is not such thing as sponsorship for a TRV so a letter should not have been required. You are married so your funds are considered together.

Thank you for your details and clarification. Yes her application is refused my application is still under review. We live in Country of citizenship.
So you mean no need to upload any sponsor letter and my statement on her application?
Another thing is, why IRCC refused her application before my application? I am the main applicant so her application depends on my application, my financial condition, and my assets. Why did they decide my spouse's application without taking my application decision?

Her applications still is assessed separately to yours even though you applied under the same GC Key account. You both have different profiles as you both would have filled and signed out your own applications. She is not your dependant only those under 22 are. Did she apply as your dependant? If so that may be the reason for refusal if she didn’t fill out and sign her own application.

Hahaha, we have applied under the family group. And in both applications, we select that we will travel together. And also, the application asked who would pay for your trip money. My spouse's application mentioned that the husband bears the cost.
If my spouse is Homemaker and she is not doing any business or job, how should he apply without me? Of course, my spouse is my dependent.
The family group made decisions altogether, not separately, but my spouse's application was refused before the principal applicant.

Many times the spouse’s application is refused before principal applicant. It is not uncommon as you are two seperate applications. Your profiles are assessed separately. IRCC considers only children under 22 as dependants. Order GCMS notes and see what full reasons for refusal are. When reapplying, the refusal must be mentioned as well as addressing reasons for refusal.

Wait till you get your application outcome and if u gets approved then immediately submit reconsideration request for your wife via webform.. it is illogical that ircc give approval for main applicant and refused wife who is a homemaker n totally dependent on husband...why would they have family application option in the system when they will assess all the applications as individually??? I got refused with whole family (wife n kids) but initially I only applied reconsideration request and when I got approved then I submitted reconsideration requests for my family and ircc approved all

Thanks Submitted. How many days will require to response ?
Since everything is delayed so it will take few weeks to get reply so have patience and there's no such guarantee that they will approved... it will depends if there were any error in decision (as it seems in your case). If you are in urgency then you can reapply at any time but I'm afraid the outcome of the second app will be the same, if u resubmit the same documents so reconsideration is the best option as you have been approved n you were the main applicant and both applications were submitted together and most important your wife is totally dependent on you. In meanwhil, you should apply for gcms notes so you can better understands why she refused and it will help you in any future app
