If you have some money spare, contact a lawyer though. These matters get hairy... better have best shaver in the market on your side.

Oh btw, I forgot!

Ask legalfalcon in his thread too... the guy is a really good pro lawyer... he helps folks for free here. If you can afford it, pay fee and consult. Shoot a request anyways. I higly recommend paying him for his consult.
Didn't realize that resource existed! Thanks for pointing it out. I'll be posting over there shortly. Thanks again!!

Hello guys, do we know in what months of 2023 will the targeted draw start?
From what I read from cicnews, the targeted draw is supposed to start in the first quarter of 2023, but no exact month.
Some people said it is supposed to start in March or April 2023, is this based on the official memo or just a rumor?

In the last few days one website (moving2canada) posted that they will start in Spring 2023 (so Q2) and another one (cicnews) Q1 2023. So I think it's fair to assume that no one knows for sure, other than it will be in the first half of 2023.

Am I the actual last FSW Worldwide OG to get the RFV? I went back to the first 10-15 pages, and I haven't seen any of those names in a long time.
not quite sure, been away so not checking the pages.
i got rfv once but it was changed to copr later.
anyway once you're ready to come, make it happen around April.

Haha thanks, I'm still being cautious. Until I have the stamped passport in my hand, nothing is guaranteed.
Quick question, did you have an extensive travel history? (I don't know if that matters but it probably does lol)

Yeah i was planning on late spring or summer of next year.

your RFV "changed" to COPR? How? Because you became inland?

My RFV email looks sketchy af. My CIC profile has shown no updates since my BIL. The only reason I assumed the RFV was legit was because it was the right email domain. We'll see in a few weeks.

I wouldn't call it extensive. I had many trips between my country of residence at the time and my home country. I remember reading that we didn't need to input those, but i did anyway. 15-20 entries if I remember correctly.

Funny thing though is that I considered mine a "complex" application. But I basically sat and thought about any possible questions an agent would have, and added an organized explanation in an LOE. If there was a question, my LOE would already have an explanation and every opssible supplemental document already attached. My goal was to make sure there would be no interruptions for ADR etc. If I had to guess, that could have resulted in a quick RFV.

But to be completely honest, I got lucky. We are all but certain that they're trying to push out recent apps a bit to artificially bring down processing times. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones in this iteration.

Okay I am not finding any reliable info on this. Tagging some people who may have answers:
@dankboi @RSub @wonderbly @ElvisRamaj

I got an email with the subject like "Ready for Visa" and the cic.gc.ca domain. It's a poorly formatted email and doesn't look professional at all, which is making me doubt its legitimacy. I do not have any updates on my CIC profile, no PDFs or letters. I am (allegedly) supposed to send in my passport along with a copy of the "passport request letter", which in my case is a printout of the email, since I didn't receive anything on my CIC account.

Is this PPR? And is it okay to send a copy of the email as the proof of PPR they want?
