What I'm missing? how is that a B1 gets you 10 points? B1 is NCLC 6, which gives you 1 point for each part.
I'm studying french these days I want those 50 points so I'm aiming for NCLC 7 at least.
I think I remembered incorrectly then. B1 will give you 4, you're right. And NCLC7 will get you a total of 62. So maybe studying for a B1 isn't worth it after all

I would say that any job with a salary paid by the State would be considered "working for government".
Interesting. We never declared it before as such, and we never had any issues with getting visa's (including work visa for that job). Perhaps we should mention it here, just in case?

Does anyone know if the draws have been stopped until next year?
No idea, but I think that they skipped (?) this draw because of the mess with glitches over switching to TEER. The last draw was not performed correctly (people didn't get points, some were invited even though they were ineligible, others that were eligible were not invited, etc.) They need to fix this before conducting a new draw.

However, this is just my speculation. It's not like they openly communicated anything about it.

Yeah, hate the silence. Atleast they can communicate?

Thnkas for the clarification! I already have a full-time job and learning Python (programming) outside of work. I was about to consider what you suggested, but I think this discourages me, as it appears almost impractical.

Based on this thread, it looks like you should not worry about that

Unfortunately, the IRCC has not issued any official statement explaining the reasons for the delay as well as announcing the date when will it open next, which is quite surprising. Since the EE candidates are desperately searching for the reasons, and opening date, here are few possibilities, which we can assess, based on latest chain of events.

Implementation of New NOC system

The IRCC implemented new NOC 2021 system on 16 November 2022, replacing the old NOC 2016 system. This change has made various changes to the EE system as well as the eligibility status of the candidates, which were visible in the first draw after this implementation, which occurred on 23 November 2022.

After 23 November draw, some candidates reported glitches in the EE system, complaining that they did not get the ITA despite having an above par score, i.e. over 500 CRS points. Hence, most possibly, in order to fix such glitches, the IRCC delayed the 7 December draw. However, this is only our assessment based on assumption and there is no proof regarding this.

Targeted EE draw

With the announcement of new NOC system, the IRCC also indicated that in future it might hold the targeted i.e. occupation based EE draws to invite candidates as per the requirements of Canadian labour market. Therefore, possibly, with the intention of Targeted EE draws, this delay has occurred. Although, the possibilities of this are very low at this particular point, as such changes will most likely take place in 2023 post official implementation of Bill C-19.

When will much awaited EE draw open?

The candidates are expecting the draw to open next day, i.e. on 8 December or possibly this week, however, considering the post instances of such delays, we may expect the next Express Entry draw on next Wednesday.

someone sent this in a telegram group, he read it somewhere online

I think it's important for them to sort things out before conducting new draws while the system is not working. Conducting a draw now will only cause more problems and many deserving people won't be selected because their points are not calculated correctly. Stopping a draw until it's resolved is a responsible thing. (They should have paused the November 23rd draw though, before causing these issues in the first place).

What is most frustrating is that they do not communicate. People are left in the dark and don't know what is happening. It's bad that they don't bother communicating things.

Yeah, it is almost comical how bad IRCC is at communication. Or it would be comical, if it didn't have such a material impact on the trajectory of people's lives...
