Hi, I've had the test and the background check marked as completed for over 9 months while other check categories are in progress. My timeline:

Location: Montreal
App sent: 21 June 2021
AOR: 23 Sept 2021
Test invite: 9 Feb 2021
Test passed: 24 Feb 2021

The current state:
- test, bg check completed
- languages, prohibitions, presence: in progress

Dec 3: Ghost Update

No real update in online tracker, citizenship ceremony still showing as Not Started

Is this nornal and expected to have a ghost update before citizenship ceremony goes in process ? And when does that history gets updated at bottom of tracker page, same day when citizenship ceremony turns in process ? Anyone can share more about this...

Online tracker got updated, citizenship ceremony changed to In Progress from Not Started.

Application History also got 2 new entries, one for status change of Citizenship ceremony field to In Progress and second entry with oath schedule date. Email already received yesterday with details of oath.

Now waiting for Dec 19.

Oath email came just before noon today from IRCC.DNMBSKCITCEREMONIES-CEREMONIESCITMBSKRN.IRCC1@cic.gc.ca

Wondering which office is this ? Manitoba or Saskatchewan?

Oath is on Dec 19, 2022 at 2 pm EST.

Congrats! It's both - one office for MB SK. Unfortunately that office is known to be slower to send out the certificate after oath, so be prepared to wait until after the new year to receive your certificate.

I have contacted MP if my case is stuck somewhere , she contacted Ircc and told us that we just need to wait for our oath rest everything is done. But how long? I applied in June 2021 and gave test in Jan. Can thy not solve the case?
We need to travel in June and am not sure how long it will take us to come back.
pls suggest something

Email your processing office (reply to the email that the test invite came from). Also, have you requested GCMS notes? You might want to do that as well, if you haven't done so recently.

I have already requested for expedited oath as i have travel on Jan 15, my processing office was Niagara Falls through out and i sent the email to them along with HR letter and booked ticket for the visit. And in next 3 days, i saw that i am scheduled by MB SK office.

I am assuming that after my request, niagra falls office may have contacted them to schedule me for the oath as per first availability.

But i will be letting them know in registration time that i have an upcoming travel for which i have supporting document, Letter from HR for my business trip and the ticket.

Have you seen only normal case getting delayed from MB SK office, any observation for the people requesting for expedited certificate dispatch based on documentary proof for the visit ?

Have you received oath email, in last page, office name will be there on 10th page at the bottom, mine is winnipeg, manitoba. My oath is at 2 pm EST and 1 PM CST.

Email your processing office (reply to the email that the test invite came from). Also, have you requested GCMS notes? You might want to do that as well, if you haven't done so recently.

Yes I got GCMS notes, everything looks good in that. Also emailed the test invite and got a reply that this is not the right email id to know your status. Now i was thinking to again contact MP and tell them my travel plan. You think they can help me?

It does look like Niagara Falls sent you to MB SK because MB SK has an earlier availability. I haven't seen a lot of posts on that office, but the ones I've seen are from people with normal processing. Definitely let them know during registration that you have the upcoming travel. You should also mention it when you email them your signed oath form, and also attach the supporting letter.

See the Citizenship Certificate After Oath thread, especially the more recent posts, for a better idea of how long it's taking in the different offices these days. At least you're not with the Winnipeg office, which seems to be a separate one from MB SK and has been very slow even for people who requested expedited service - you can read the posts from @warrior30 who is still waiting since October 17 oath and had to miss his sister's wedding!

Oh oops maybe the Winnipeg office is the same as MB SK? Not to scare you, but see the posts of @warrior30 who requested expedited service and got an unfriendly agent and is still waiting from October 17! But there are others who got better agents from Winnipeg and received certificate much more timely.

Oh man, that sucks. Do your GCMS notes show everything approved/completed except oath?
Yeah, contact your MP with your travel plan in any case. You can also try calling early in the morning. You might get a helpful agent who can tell you more or follow up with your local office, although you might also get an unhelpful one who will tell you they can't do anything because you haven't passed 25 months, in which case you can call another day and hope you get a nicer agent.
