Hey guys, 6 week wait time is from oath date or certificate print date or ship date?

Montreal office
Oath: 8th July
Certificate Printed: 13th July
Cert. Shipped: 18th July
Still not delivered
As per my understanding 4-6 weeks from oath to receive certificate, if not received then solemn declaration 30 days from shipped date

Hi Everyone, I did my oath on 13 July and the oath complete update happened on 15th and application closed on 18th. I called IRCC this morning, they informed me that the office sent your certificate on 15th from winipeg. I am in edmonton. How long does it usually take to receive the certificates?
Hello, did you receive your citizenship certificate yet? I did my oath ceremony on July 12 and the oath completed July 14th. I am yet to receive the certificate. I believe the office that will be sending my certificate is in the west, I am in Calgary.

Received my certificate today Aug 3rd.
Montreal office
Oath: July 8th
Online status closed: July 13th
Certificate Mailed: July 18th (as per the agent on phone)
Certificate Delivered: Aug 3rd.

The certificate ship date of July 18th that they say was not true. I checked the envelope which has the stamp of July 27th. So I am assuming the office puts a stack of certificates to be mailed but it never reaches canada post on that day. There must be a delay of several days before canada post receives them.

So hang in there if you have your certificate shipped but haven't received it.

Anyone received their oath ceremony invitation from this email address RCC.DNMBSKCITCEREMONIES-CEREMONIESCITMBSKRN.IRCC1@cic.gc.ca who did his/her oath ceremony on July 12 or week of July 10 and still waiting to receive their citizenship certificate? I did my oath ceremony on July 12 and my file was closed July 14 and till now I haven't received certificate. I updated my mailing address a week+ before the ceremony via webform and also confirmed my new address with the clerk that took my information during the oath ceremony. I am wondering if they still sent my certificate to my former address which I am no longer in contact with because the owner sold the place already:confused:

HI folks,

Going through similar issue.

Oath office: Winnipeg
Oath date: 17th October 2022

File closed: 5th November 2022.

Certificate: Not received yet.

I have emailed Winnipeg office quite a few times, no reply.

Call center agents are clueless and give me extremely conflicting information. Some said 6 weeks from Oath date, some are saying 6 weeks from mailing date.

The agent I talked to today, I told him can you send a message to office since today its officially 6 weeks from Oath date. The agent said its 6 weeks from mailing date and no action can be taken until 25th December Christmas. :( I want to cry! Not sure what to do.

Key is constant follow up, and yes they don’t move to the next step of solemn declaration till 6 weeks from mailing date. When you speak to call centre agent ask them if the certificate was mailed out, only some of them know how to check this, most of them see the closing date and assume this was the mailing date. When they actually mail out they have to update notes. If it was mailed out and you still didn’t get it then Canada post would have missed something. Which is why they say 6 weeks from mail date . Sometimes I have called twice the same day to get an agent who knows how to read the notes properly.

I do follow up literally everyday, sometimes even multiple times a day. They say it was mailed on 9th November 2022. Still nothing. :(

@warrior30

This is what you need to do. I do realize your stress and anxiety at this but you need to keep trying. Email your oath office again with a new subject stating the 6 weeks to receive the certificate from oath have passed.

I did this week, they replied saying it is 6 weeks from mailing date (9 november ) not oath date. So...wait until Christmas. WTF :(

This office is very disorganized and they are proving it again and again to me since past 7 weeks, I received one email saying wait until Christmas. One saying solemn declaration.

And when I sent solemn declaration yesterday right away to one of the replies, I got reply saying SOLEMN DECLARATION NOT ACCEPTED as 6 weeks have not passed since mailing date.

THIS IS HOW IRCC WINNIPEG WORKS!!!

Can someone explain to me why is my life being messed up by these incompetent folks like this? Like they don't even stand by their own emails now, what to do.

They said it was mailed out on 9th November 2022. Both call center and the office confirmed it. I still have not received anything. It never ends. :( DO you think Canada Post lost it?
