Hi everyone,
Here's what happened with the timeline:
- Applied for study permit for Fall'22 in May
- Missed the university deadline to show visa proof on Aug 7th due to delays at IRCC
- Got the updated admission letter for Fall 23-25 (only available intake for my course) from the uni on 10th Aug, sent the same to IRCC on the same day via webform
- Visa approved end of August, went through with the passport printing process assuming it was for 23-25.
Now the issue is that the duration of the permit mentioned on the passport is for 22-24, even though I sent a webform to IRCC with the updated admission letter. Is there anything in particular that needs to be done now?
From what I've read so far, I just have to apply for a study permit extension in '23 once my permit is close to expiry. As this is way beyond IRCC's 150 day threshold for deferral without notice I'm concerned and also a little worried about the PoE interview with the visa officer regarding these dates.
Anyone with any idea about the process related to this, your insight would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
