it is different from case to case. but usually it is Winnipeg officeWhat about Regina people? do they have ceremonies in-person? which office handle their files Winnipeg or Saskatoon?
Thanks for adding.. I am here.. DM in Aug and still waiting for oath. On asking via test email they replied i am in que. Looks like they are going in order of backlog..
There are 5 in person ceremonies happening in the coming two weeks. I find it surprising they have such a huge backlog in SKThanks for adding.. I am here.. DM in Aug and still waiting for oath. On asking via test email they replied i am in que. Looks like they are going in order of backlog..
Same weird i feel. Its combined SASK and Manitoba. But being small i dont understand why so much backlog. Is it resourcing or what. The bigger provinces are way ahead. So frustrating...There are 5 in person ceremonies happening in the coming two weeks. I find it surprising they have such a huge backlog in SK

Yesterday browsing through some forums, it seemed SK and MB offices were processing cases from other provinces. May be that's the reason?Same weird i feel. Its combined SASK and Manitoba. Wow is it.. Crazy. They have so many here pending. Cant they look into first.. If that's the case our turn will not come soon.. Could be they were doing because it was all online. Now in person so they need to focus back on Saskatoon.Yesterday browsing through some forums, it seemed SK and MB offices were processing cases from other provinces. May be that's the reason?
I already sent an email to Saskatoon office and same answer too, I am wondering how big the backlog in Saskatoon then ?? as still DM August not yet in the ceremonies. even they have 5 live ceremonies in Saskatoon next 2 weeks each usually between 300-350 !!Thanks for adding.. From my conversation with IRCC staff on the phone, Citizenship applications are the least of their priorities because the applicants are mostly already in Canada and already have status (permanent residence). That's the main reason why there's no rush to clear up the backlog files. Unless there's an urgent request IRCC feels they can take their time. Plus the stuff going on in Afghanistan and Ukraine is taking up a considerable amount of resources too. That's the main reason why they moved Citizenship applications to Online because they are able to move files to the less busy office if the home office is busy.Same weird i feel.
