Received ITA with higher score and under CEC without completing 1-year work experience in Canada

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit confused about my situation right now.

When I applied for EE, on November 20th, the score showed as 468. Today I received an ITA with a score of 493. The system added 25 extra points for my foreign work experience.
In addition to this, my profile was selected under CEC when I only completed 3 months of working in Canada. I do have 3 years of work experience in the USA (but they are not under the same NOC) which is why I only put in 1 year of work experience for one NOC and which is why my score initially showed as 468. Could someone explain what could be going on here?

Should I go ahead and apply or decline? If I decline, what are my next options?

Thanks in advance!

IRCC broke the calculator when they updated it for TEER. Decline the invitation. You don't qualify for CEC. Hopefully they'll fix the calculator soon. There are a ton of people with the same problem as you and lots of existing threads on this topic.

Thank you for your reply. I'm just curious because isn't this a big issue? And if it is a known issue, any idea why they wouldn't alert us?

Yes, it's a big issue. See all the threads on this topic. People also aren't getting points they should be getting for spouses.

As for your second question, it's IRCC. So low bar on this sort of stuff unfortunately.

Similar situation here. I have a canadian degree + about 8 months of full time inland work experience. I have also other full time experience period that exceed one year but it was for more than 3 years ago.

It's so confusing without any official statement from IRCC.

Should I accept or deny the ITA?
