August 30 - Submitted documents online here in Dubai, UAE
August 31 - Completed biometrics
Nov 11 - Passport Request
Nov 14 - Handed over my passport to VFS Dubai

Folks, finally got some good news. We got the PPR yesterday for my wife.

Old application on GCKey:
Applied - 11 April
Biometrics - 19 April
No response till now.

Got married - 18 August

New application on new portal with spouse invitation letter:
Applied - 25 Sept
PPR - 17 Nov

Thanks everyone and good luck! Finally I'll be able to see my wife again!

finally got passport request for my parents on nov 14, took 8 months from new portal application and 18 months from gc key one. abu dhabi should really up the pace. people have lives and plans...

Hi there everyone,
Here is my timeline for TRV.
July 5: Submission from Doha, Qatar
July 12: Biometrics Completed form VFS Doha, Qatar
July 12: Eligibility review and Background Processing Started


As of 13 November, no changes. I have submitted webforms and emails, all I get is automated response form IRCC Abu Dhabi office. I was set to travel in October (submitted the flight tickets and everything).

Only if Abudabhi office could just speed up their processing , it would be really helpful for people who have been waiting for so long.

I submitted a flight ticket booked under Air Canada as my supposed date of travel to Canada is in December 30th.

Do you guys think Ircc will consider it to speed up application as my travel date in 36 days.

Has anyone experienced similar results

Thanks GOD i got reciveed PPR applied on 9th sep 2022 on new portal 2 visits to Canada and usa valid visa pluss visits also have lot of travel history of other countries.Applied from Pakistan and pakistani citizenship

Finally received PPR today for my Minor infant.
Applied through new IRCC portal on 13th June. Dubai.
Since minor, no biometric or Medical was required.
Status changed to reviewing eligibility on 15th Jun.
No response post that.
I did not submit any Web form or any enquiry forms.
Today 29th Nov, got PPR request.

Hello , yesterday i applied a new application from IRCC portal (new one )
and i already have applied from CG key (since 22 february until today nothing new )
So i want to know if it will be an issue to have 2 applications
