Put in her mother's legal name. Then worry about getting document to proof that later. (when she sponsor her mom one day)
I don't think proof is needed in spousal sponsorship for additional family members.

Again what is her mother is ACTUAL legal name?

A lot of us do not have information like "mother's name" in our passports.

So my answer is again, use her mother's REAL legal name. You are sponsoring your spouse, not her mother. If you are worry, try to final legal document to show name changed for her mother from one to another. (whatever in one document to the current legal name)

see, here's the scenario..

I have written her mother's legal name in all the forms

Legal name is there on passport

However, her birth certificate which has to be submitted is having different name than legal name..

So don't you think officer checking the file may flag this as issue ?

You cannot change her birth certificate now. So write a letter to explain why it was different if you know. And seek help in her home country and see if you can get it correct or provide any legal document to proof that both names are the same person.

Hello Experts,
I Have been going a stressful situation regarding mother's name at birth.
I got my COPR, and i will be landing very soon in Toronto.
My question regarding Mother's name ta birth.
Background :
Mother name in my Bangladeshi passport / Certificates / Birth certificate : Ruxana Aziz
My mother name in her ID card/ Passport: Ruxana Ferdous poli.
During PR process, in schedule A, i mentioned my mother name at birth as per her passport.

Now, i can feel that, onward, in everywhere, ( SIN, Canadian passport) , i will be asked to put my mother's name at birth. Then it will be different name in my two passport.

In BD passport : Ruxana Aziz
In Canadian PR Card/ Sin/ Passport : Ruxana Ferdous Poli

Please help somebody, who had gone thru with this situation

OK! I am confused with your question.

So your mother is not landing?? It's you whose the PA?

I don't think there is a "mother's name" in
YOUR Canadian PR card/Sin/Passport. Our normal IDs do not contain a "mother's name".

I think you need to either get affiliate or legal document to proof that Ruxana Aziz is the same person as Ruxana Ferdou poli.
That will only affect the process when you apply to sponsor her under PGP or super visa down the road. So you will have time to do it.

I think you will go with her name on her passport. If it's possible try to correct her birth certificate.
Your passport will not be a long term concern since you eventually will get a Canadian passport (once you become a citizen) and there is no "mother's name on it.
Thank you so much sir. Actually, i am concern about the difference between name of mother with Canadian passport and non canadian passport.
I would like to take another opportunity from you that in this case is it possible to apply super visa for my parents?

Please read my updated reply. I thought you were sponsoring your mother and SHE is landing with her COPR.

BTW Canadian passport DO NOT have mother's name on it. (and that's when you become Canadian citizen)

Yes sir you right. I am the PA.When i will apply for SIN/ PR card, and eventually for canadian passport, it will ask surname of mother at birth, which Ruxana Aziz Poli. So i am worried as it differs from the name written in my current non-canadian passport / All certificates . so throughout the life i will carry two name of my mother..

Okay, to repeat what I've put several places now: virtually no Canadian documents will record your mother's name. It's not on passport, it's not on PR card, it's not on SIN (there's no more sin card anyway, just a number).

Now in your first post on this you wrote:
"During PR process, in schedule A, i mentioned my mother name at birth as per her passport."

As far as I can tell (but may have missed because you keep posting all over the place so hard to tell for sure), you actually haven't provided your mother's birht certificate or the name on the birth certificate - the ONLY document that's different in this respect about your mother's name - to anyone.

So: don't. Just use the one you provided.

FYI: for the most part, the only Canadian institutions that will ever use your mother's birth name / maiden name are ones that ask you that name. And they mostly only use this as a security question, they don't check it. So don't give them any other name. (Or if only for security purposes, you can use any name at all, as long as you don't forget what you did). In those contexts no-one is checking your mother's birth certificate.

Don't complicate things needlessly.

I wrote a letter of explanation and attached with the application. I mentioned why it is different and attached my wife's passport where her mother's actual name was mentioned
