Hi everyone,

applied at service Canada (In person) late July 2022. On call agent today transferred my file to local office, with no proof of travel Required since application is delayed as per 25 business days.
Has anyone in this forum received a positive response once transfer request was raised in GTA region? Please let me know.

Went to Mississauga Office at 7.15 am today. I could see 50-60 people in line and came back.

Reached Brampton Passport Office at 11:50 am and there were 20-25 people ahead of me outside. Got free around 2:30.

My pictures had an issue so I had to get new ones, this took 30 minutes.

It's better to come around 2 pm, i could see only 8-10 people in line.

But I understand, you are not allowed inside after 1:30 pm. 2 to 4 is for pickup?

thats for Mississauga...

you can go inside Brampton Office. I requested security guard at 2:30 to let me in to submit the photographs only. At that time i could see few people in line waiting to submit their applications.

I thought that passport delivery is supposed to be signed by someone. I saw my child's passport in our mailbox today. They were supposed to send all our 4 passports together cos it is a family of 4 application. I was expecting the passports next week as next Monday was the date they gave me but they sent 1 out of 4 a week earlier. I was home all through and no one rang the door bell as I was expecting them to do when they come to deliver it.

I'm now confused. How can they deliver 1 out of 4 passports without signature despite it written clearly on the envelope that signature is required. The Xpresspost delivery didn't drop anything to suggest that I need to pick up the rest in their office. Does it mean that the passport office produced just 1 passport for now? Thought family applications are treated together.

Please who understands what is going on here? Thanks

Went to process passports for our family of 5 and was specifically told they will arrive in different envelopes at different times. However, they did say it has to signed for so odd that it was in the mailbox.

The reason I'm asking is that some offices were not taking walk-ins AT ALL for non-urgent a few monhts ago, they were being told to either do it by mail or at Service Canada (and service canada just mails it to the central office). And by mail cases were taking ages - some were four months or more.

So it's GREAT news that you were taken as a walk-in and given a pickup time only three-four weeks away. Yours was the first I recall seeing for downtown TO where such (normal) service.

(Warning to others, it still seems to vary somewhat by office, although most are way better than they were a few months ago).
Did walk in at London Ontario too. 2 weeks processing ( normal not urgent).

Is it now considered delayed if 25 business days have passed? Wondering if I can request a transfer to passport office as mine has exceeded 25 business days but not the original 17 weeks that I had been quoted when I applied on Sept 26.
