Hello,

I'm a Canadian Citizen living in Canada and my wife is a PR holder

She recently gave birth in India to my child and currently she is in India

How can I bring my new born child to Canada?

Is it possible to apply for passport directly from India? or do I have to apply for Canadian citizenship certificate first and then apply for passport? What steps should I take to?

Please advise, Thank you in advance!

Hi, Thanks for the info

I do not have Certificate of Canadian citizenship for the new born, what should I use for the Proof of Canadian citizenship?

Does father citizenship Certificate acceptable?

The child needs their own certificate.

You can try for a temp passport while you wait for the certificate.

this is what the canadian embassy will do for you first ,because you cant have a passport unless if you prove that he is canadian first .
so certificate first and then passport

Hello, citizenship certificate application final decision status is approved,
how long it takes to get the certificate?
