NOC and OINP

Hello Guys ,


I'm currently in pool with my cec profile and looking to increase my points .
I'm looking for Ontario PNP .

Now comes my question ,
For OINP , they invite 2173 and 2174 NOC candidates . I have major work experience in 2173/74 , but when I came to Canada my company in my WP application gave NOC as 2171 .
So should I use same 2171 or put 2173/74 ???

Do they cross check with WP NOC ??


I'm confused which NOC should I use as for 2171 I no OINP invites .

I'm not sure what you mean by cross-check.

For your work experience in Canada, you must claim that under 2171 since your work permit was issued under this NOC. For your work experience outside of Canada, you should pick the NOC that most closely matches your responsibilities. It is fine if that's 2173 or 2174.

By Cross check I meant , Will IRCC be checking what NOC was applied in Canadian WP and what NOC is being shown now as part of Canadian experience .

I have a further question , even though my company issued my Closed Work Permit on NOC 2171 , The duties that I perform identifies with NOC 2173 .

So is it fine if I show my Canadian work experience under 2173 ? or will this create an issue .
