Changing DLI immediately after landing in Canada before starting studies

Hi all. I have an approved study permit application and will travel to Canada in December. But I plan to change my DLI immediately after landing in Canada (enroll myself in new DLI, then withdraw myself from the first one and start classes in the new one). Will that be considered as a violation of the rules or is it necessary to have studied atleast a semester before being able to do so. I know that changing DLI from outside Canada requires a new application, but what if I do it after arrival?

I have recently received a new LOA from a better university, and don't look forward to study in the current DLI anymore. I don't mind studying a semester too but it will have a major financial impact as credit transfer may not be a possibility for me & will also result in waste of time.

You need to study for at least a semester at the first DLI on your study permit before you change to the new DLI. If you never plan to study at the DLI on your study permit then apply for a new study permit. This applies even when you enter Canada. IRCC changed the rules to not allow students to change DLIs without first studying at the original DLI on your permit.
