Hello I'm new to the forum and now I have a question.
My husband is now studying an ESL programme as a pre-requisite course for a 2-year diploma programme and ESL programme will complete in Apr 2023. Now he has got a LOA for the 2-year programme. I would like to know if I am eligible to apply for the SOWP with a study permit for ESL and attached with a LOA for 2-year diploma?

Neither of you can work while he's in his ESL program. You ca only work when he starts his 2-year diploma.

Apparently, some years ago the rule of the spouse not being able to work for ESL students was not very clear, so it was up to the immigration officer to grant it. Most people were getting it, but a few months ago IRCC changed the rule to make it more specific, and now ESL students' spouses can't work.

Hi, I am in the same situation, but my wife already start to study her diploma, the question is that I have visitor visa (already extended), do I have to change to a SOWP (waiting time is 6/8 months), how could I do this process faster?
