What Are Some Pathways To PR That Involve NOC D Jobs?

I was struggling to find a NOC A or B job, but I am currently working in a NOC D job in British Columbia.

I'm just wondering but is it at all possible to attain PR by working in a NOC D job? When I look this up online, I see mixed results. I know that Canada has several different pathways to PR and you can sometimes get creative as to how you'll eventually attain it.

So I'm asking for past experiences. Has anyone been able to acquire PR by working in a NOC D job? Directly or even indirectly (where the job led to an extension in your work permit and then later on you applied for PR).

Thanks for the link! It lists NOC 6711 under the list of eligible occupations.

Is it easy to get an invitation to apply under this program? I'm guessing lots of people apply, and only the top scorers get picked?
Somewhat of a new concept having pathways to PR for NOC C and D be amuse there is a realization that there are huge labour shortages. Hard to say what the chances are to get selected. All depends on the number of applicants.

Best strategy for everything is to follow the herd and do whatever everyone else is doing. I'm just wondering why nobody else is talking about this lol......Considering how easy it is to get a job in a kitchen. There must be a lot of catches involved in this path.

You can see how many people are actually invited under the stream on the BC website. It is a small number.

Fairly new concept to have immigration programs geared towards NOC C and Ds. Majority of PRs accepted are still for NOC 0, A or B. For NOC C and Ds smaller number of applicants selected and really for those who have worked for the employer and have a job to continue working for the employer. Sure there will be a review of the program eventually to see if people remained in the positions after getting PR or it defeats the purpose of running the program to try to tackle labour shortages in some of the NOC C and D jobs and in certain regions.

I looked at this source and it says that in 2018, ZERO applicants were invited under the Entry Level and Semi Skilled category o_O

I know I just read that in 2018, there were no applicants invited under the ELSS category. It really makes me wonder how this PNP system works. I heard that if you go above the threshold score, then an invitation is pretty much guaranteed? How is it possible that no one in ELSS went above the minimum score (which is 55)?

You can see the draws on the website. The numbers nominated are small and they select what NOCs (I think) they want so maybe they are selecting those from the healthcare field.
