Ok. I haven't visited since 2019. Hopefully it doesn't seem strange. We will be there for a week.
IMO it may seem strange since this is a very long time and travel has been possible for a while.

One week is an extremely short trip after not seeing each other for three years.

Just my two cents.

Good morning. We met when I was vacationing in his home town in 2014 at which time he was able to travel to Canada because a Visa was not required. It was only after Visa was required he was not able to visit me here so i went to his country and then we got married 2 years later 2016. i was there for two years but I still travelled back to Canada. I am not vaccinated so I could not travel to reunite with him and he is not able to come here to me until he is sponsored. he has met all the children . The youngest child he only knew as a baby and he is now 3 as i visited his home town in 2019.
I’m very surprised he was able to visit in 2014. Did he declare his criminal record when he applied for his ETA?

It doesn’t help your application especially because you have young children who will not have any in person interaction with their father that they can remember. When applying for sponsorship you should continue to show proof that you are in a relationship and most people in a relationship would meet in person more regularly. There is a certain period that can be overlooked due to Covid but not the full 3-4 years. Vaccinations are a very touchy topic but unless you were unable to get the vaccination for medical reasons many would get vaccinated so they could see their spouse and so their kids could see their father. I would be speaking to your lawyer. They are the person who can guide you in terms Of what may happen and dependent on the option what further steps must be completed.

I do work and the 3 kids are in school. I could not just up and go for a visit. I pray it works out for the children sakes.
