I applied for my brother's visa to visit me and it got rejected lately. I have suggested to write a letter of explanation for no international travel history before and a support letter from father to show family ties. Can anyone help me what should I write an hint would work. Thank you in advance.

So what were his reasons for refusal? What is his profile - age, job, funds, single? How long of trip? Job? Assume he is single. What is purpose of support letter from his father?

There were a couple of reasons like
You dont have significant family ties outside canada
The purpose of your visit is not consistent
Your assets are insufficient
Not satisfied that you will leave canada at the end of your stay etc

Trip was about 2 weeks and he is married. The purpose was to visit me in canada.

So how much of his own funds did he show? He needs to show the funds not you nor your father. He shows his bank account statement to show that he can afford airfare and stay for 2 weeks. A letter of support from his father makes no difference. He is over 22 and married.

Not consistent? Not sure if this is the full statement but has he applied for any other permits before.

Assume he included his job letter with approved leave. Spouse is staying in home country and did not apply, I assume.

To get a permit, he needs strong ties to country (job letter, properties, businesses, spouse etc.), funds in his name only, travel history, reasons to travel. You can write a letter of invitation. Don’t reapply if his funds don’t change.

I agree, the funds were one of the valid reasons to reject. So, we are working on that aspect before we apply again. Any idea how much funds to show in an account?

Apart from this, he showed a NOC letter from his department (He is a govt Employee) Which stated his joining date, roles, responsibility, salary and approved leave as well. He also showed a planned itinerary (including airfare and accommodation). There are so many documents we attached like the Marriage Certificate, Bank statement, salary Sip, and the documents needed from my side as I was inviting them (Address Proof, Resident proof, Salary Slips, Notice of assessment etc)

I wrote a letter of invitation and still got rejected.

People suggested to me that your father can write a letter of support that can show family ties back home in India.

Order GCMS notes. How can “we” work on funds? He has the funds or he doesn’t. You can’t dump funds into his account that are not his. It will raise red flags. You need to show enough funds so that he is not using every dollar on his trip.. He has a spouse so if he has $10k in his account and using $9k for the trip that doesn’t show he can afford it. There is no set amount but $10k is an okay amount for a 2 week visit.

You only need to provide a letter of invitation. Your salary and NOA is irrelevant. You don’t need to prove residency either.

Your father is not a tie as he is married. The tie is his spouse. Has he applied for any Canadian visas before? If he doesn’t have travel history that will be an issue too.
