Hello guys, I just want to ask if I need to retake IELTS:

My current result will expire on May 6, 2023, and I got 7 on writing and other categories above 8. On Nov 1, 2022, I will reach 2 year work experience and will boost my score to approximately to 492. The last draw was 496 so I am expecting to get ITA in Nov or Dec unless IRCC pause the draw like last year.

So I wonder:
  1. The application processing time vaires and some takes really long time. What if my Lanaguage results expired during my PR application process time? Will they reject me or ask me for new results?
  2. Do you think if it's a good idea to go get another IELTS done ASAP? I am hesitating cuz it costs $350 per test and I may receive ITA in Nov before my test results come out. Or should I wait until mid-Nov and book a test in Dec just to make sure my lanaguage results will be valid for another 2 yrs?
Thanks in advance!

Your results should be valid at the time you submit your PR application ( not through out the process), so you don't need to give it again

if you do a computer based test you can get the result in just 2 days then update your profile to boot your score. and you can get the paper results later to submit because you have 60 days to submit your application

Also in case you take a retest and you score lower, you cant use the previous one. You don't really need to give the exam and spend the money again for no reason as it's mentioned on the IRCC website language results should be valid at the time you submit the application, that's it
