Not Enough Work Hours - Adding Points Elsewhere?

I need some advice about this. My wife got a bad surprise today with one of her work experience letters. She was paid a specific number of hours, but it turns out that this was just "for EI purposes". Her actual number of weekly hours are much lower. We counted on the hours we thought she had for 2 year experience. Now we are wondering what to do.

For the purpose of Express Entry, if we lose points for work experience but gain points elsewhere (for example, my language test - I didn't take a language test as a spouse because we didn't need it to be elected), would this be ok? Can I take a language test before we submit our application to offset the 11 points she would lose if she didn't have 2 years experience?

Do you mean that you've already received ITA?

I don't think it's possible to add IELTS results points post-ITA.

That is difficult to calculate because she has a combination of part time and full time over almost 3 years. She has around 46-47 weeks of full time, and the rest is all part time, ranging between 14 and 29 hours (and she also didn't work some months). She receives a monthly salary and it's very difficult to turn this into weeks. (Because one month she can be full time, then switching to part time, but the first of the month is in the middle of the week so the switch from full time to part time happens in the middle of the week).

She definitely had the required 3120 hours before today's news - we believed she worked 14 hours on this job but the reference letter said only 5 hours?? (The payslips said 14). It was a short job but if it was only 5h per week, she will lose around 150h that we counted on, and now we are wondering if it's possible to accumulate them before the deadline to apply.

That's why I was wondering if it's possible for me to take a language test to improve points.

After we pointed out the error, they fixed it and entered the hours from the payslip. However, they wrote hours per month in the letter, not per week. She receives monthly salary and hours are calculated on a monthly basis.

How to go about this?
