change of status refused during PR waiting period

Hi, everyone.
My work permit expired on Mar 31st, 2022. My husband has submitted his and my PR application on March 2022. During the PR waiting period, I need to change my status to visitor visa. I submitted my change of status application on Mar 30th, 2022 and was refused.
The refusal letter says my status was expired on Jan 2022, I was already out of status. and asked me to leave Canada, I'm confused. I double checked my work permit paper and visa on passport, the expiration date is Mar 31st, 2022. Anyone knows what is wrong with my application? What should I do now? Can I submit another visitor application? Or should I appeal the current decision?

By the way, I entered Canada on July 13th, 2021. The refusal letter stated my status expired on Jan 13th, 2022. It seemed the officer think there should only be 180 days for my stay? But I'm dependent on my husband's status which should be expired on March 31st, 2022. That's why my status was also expired on the same date.

Your status is independent of your husband. It's irrelevant when his visa expires.

Is there anyway I can find out this? My husband was holding a student visa when I applied to come to accompany him. He got his BCPNP this year and submitted out PR application on March 16th 2022.
I'm not sure what kind of OWP I was on. Can I find it somewhere on my passport visa page? There is a "W-1" under "category".

It sounds like an open work permit based on your partner's PGWP.

I would recommend you submit a reconsideration request through webform. Include the evidence that shows when your work permit expired and ask for reconsideration on the refusal decision.
