DOB error on Canada Passport

I made a mistake while submitting the passport application and provided wrong year on my date of birth. now i got my passport with wrong date of birth. how can i correct this?

Take it back to passport office ,with a new filled application…..new photos etc

I think you should call them and try stopping them processing it, so that you can submit a new application.

Visited North York Passport office and it was a breeze. they took the old one and said it will be corrected and i can pick the new one on wednesday. i went prepared with a new application and new set of pics, but they haven't taken anything, they verified my citizenship certificate and id and confirmed that the application was submitted with wrong date and they didn't catch it. they didn't charge any fee as well.

glad it worked out well without major issues.
