After hearing timeline for pr card recently

After getting accepted as a protected person it will take around 2 years to get PR and a PR card.
Closer to 24 months at the moment plus 2+ months to get the PR card. It is a long process even if everything goes right.

Ukrainians are not getting faster processing if they claim asylum or if they apply for a PR or PR card. They are getting somewhat faster processing for the CUAET visa so they can travel to Canada and alleviate some pressure on the neighbouring countries or to get out of Ukraine. It is still taking many months and that only gives them a WP.
It seems as though I was incorrect but only about the asylum claim and as already stated that there are a small number of cases. No mention of being prioritized for getting PR or PR card which was the original question.

In fact there is dedicated webform for Ukrainian to request Urgent Processing of Existing application, including Permanent Residence Application. This is coordinated measure across all federal agencies to help Ukrainian in Canada, including Provincial Government. In BC, if you hold Work Permit under CUET, you get automatic enrolment MSP [Medical Coverage] with waived 90days waiting period.
