August 2022 Citizenship Applications

It seems like things are moving pretty slowly for our august group. I noticed that by 2-month mark many applicants in the previous months saw their background verification completed.

Yeah, I don't see any movement even for the 1st week applicants. Not sure if the delay is because of the hurricane or something else. The Sep/October applicants too are having a delayed AOR.

Yes, slowed down compared to previous months. AoRs for Sep/Oct applicants are delayed as well. I called up IRCC today and it seems my file is still in Sydney. They didn't send it to local office yet. No ghost updates or any updates either. My Aor is on Aug9.

though ecas still says : Application Received . not sure there is really any update or not .

If you click on the "Application Received" link it will show the details of what each status means.

ecas will change to In Process when your background is complete (not to be confused with the In Progress in the other tracker, which is show from Day 1). Until your BG is complete ecas will say Application Received.

your local office should be Scarborough which is quite fast these days.
