It will be pretty obvious to someone that if you haven‘t been a student or you don’t have a spouse that has been working in Canada. There are limited ways to qualify for an OWP. Just being from Sri Lanka if you have recently arrived and have an OWP that you likely have claimed asylum.
His Work Permit has same condition as other Open work permit [pgwp,bowp,sowp] with SIN starting with 9. He is not obliged to disclose to employer of his refugee status, he needs authorization to work, thats what matter to employer
No it is not different, still a work permit and you can work no matter where. Also no one has the right to ask about your refugee case or discriminate you for being a refugee claimant. So don't be worried about your status to your employer, as long as you have your work permit to work, that is all that matters to them.
