My daughter (18 years old) applied for a student permit and received the same refusal letter:

Dear (Applicant) , Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. I have reviewed your study permit application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a study permit (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/ eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://lawslois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing your application. • You have not complied with our request for information, per subsection 16(1.1) of the IRPA. To date, you have failed to comply with our request for an examination. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. This is very strange, because she did the medical examen 2 days before to receive this letter and she was under the period time requested. Now checking documents we have realized that in her Letter Request for Medical Report, it was attached the Medical Report form (IMM1017E). but when she did the medical examen the Doctor gave her a different report. She received the Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B).
Do you think this is the reason of refusal? I mean, the doctor used a wrong Medical Report when doing the medical examination.

Hi. We got refusal based on 16(2). Visa got rejected on date of medical expiry. Don’t know how. Did you get response yet?

I have sent alot of webform. IRCC didn't reply any of them. Canada is wicked

It seems you haven't been following up with my post here. After getting a refusal. I sent IRCC a mail. And they replied and said the reason for my refusal was because IOM didn't submit my medical examination result to them. They didn't receive any result. Upon hearing that, I went to IOM and they told me they sent it and even gave me proof. IRCC hasn't replied me since then. If thats not wickedness then tell me what is

When did you send the webform asking for reconsideration? It takes at least 30 days or more for webforms to be reviewed and document updates to be made to your file.

Okay so it has not been 30 days. You have sent the documentation so you need to wait at least 30 days (or more) to see if file is reopened. Reconsideration is not a formal process so there are no timelines. People ask for reconsideration and it is sometimes granted. It may have been easier and faster for you to reapply. Assume that was the only reason for refusal.

You may have been better off reapplying. Did you have to defer your program? Does IRCC have updated LOAs?

Yes I had to defer my program to January 16th.

So IRCC has the new LOA for the January program? All you can do is wait unless your reapply but may or may not hear by January 16.

No I haven't sent the new LOA. I defer because of the refusal I got. My school started classes September last month
